Isabella/Marc	"He muttered that his name was Roger and was silent again" Pg.22	This describes the character as very quiet and shy towards the group. Likes to keep his thoughts to himself.
Isabella/Araceli	"There was a slight, furtive boy whom no one knew, who kept to himself with an inner intensity of avoidance and secrecy. " Pg.22	Another small description of the character in which he seems like a boy with many thoughts and prefers to keep a low profile with the rest of the group. "Inner intensity of avoidance and secrecy" makes it seem like he is a gloomy boy, not very happy with and intense personality.
Isabella	" Roger took the conch and looked round at them gloomily." Pg. 43	Again they are describing the character as gloomy and secretive.
Isabella	"I've been watching the sea, there hasn't been the trace of a ship. Perhaps we'll never be rescued."	Roger is very pessimistic and seems mature for his age. He, unlike the other kids does not feel that they will be saved.
Isabella	"I expect they've gone. I expect they won't play either." Pg. 131	Roger has left to join Jack's tribe of hunter that has separated from Ralph's. This demonstrates that the character enjoys dark, gruesome things and is attracted towards them, like hunting.
Isabella	"Roger stooped, picked up a stone and threw it at Henry -- threw it to miss." Pg. 62	Here we can see that the character although is not directly hurting Henry is enjoying the thrill and excitement over such dark and aggressive actions.
